The Contest


MyDemocracy is a video editorial contest sponsored by the Political Science department. The objective is to create a 2-3 minute video editorial in any style (live action or animated) that brings to life a theme, issue, or concept relating to democracy. Submissions have the opportunity to gain publication on MSNBC On-Campus, Talonmarks.com, MyPoliSciLab and many others as well.


Project Overview: 

 
o        Select a topic relating to democracy or political science
o        Create a video editorial 2-3 minutes in length
o        Produce a serious or comical video editorial
o        Work individually or collaboratively in a group 
o        Compose yourself within the campus student conduct policy
o       
Fill out and submit an entry form (click here)
o       
Upload your video on YouTube ()
o        Submit video editorial by May 1st 2009


The Editorials

Choose any topic relating to Democracy or Political Science that interests you or your group. Create a serious editorial or create a parody (e.g. The Daily Show); describe or reenact a concept; demonstrate or contrast theories; or review a related film or documentary. We're sure there are other angles you can think of. Be creative and original, but most of all have fun!

o        Terrorism
o        Elections / Voting in America
o        Israel / Palestine Conflict
